Program Description and Expectations

This training program provides an opportunity for therapist development and evolution, both clinically and personally. It is rigorous, both academically and experientially.

Participation is restricted to practicing therapists and requires a graduate degree in a MH/clinical discipline, an active psychotherapy practice, and must have at minimum 75 hours of somatic psychotherapy live training with coached experiential practice. Also necessary, an attachment and psychodynamic orientation integrated into their somatic psychotherapy practice–prior learning assessments are necessary and entry will be determined by The Savoy Clinic, Ltd.
Demonstration and reflective process involving participant material and process work is a core part of this training. All participants are encouraged to engage fully.
You will need to access many of the readings through your University alumni or purchase them from the publisher.
Confidentiality is a fundamental requirement. Participants must respect and protect the confidentiality of fellow participants and their own clients.
We recommend that participants engage in therapy during the training. To practice somatic relational therapy effectively, it is necessary to engage in it personally. Your personal material may be stirred in the training.
It is strongly recommended that participants arrange professional support (supervision/consultation) with someone experienced in this work during training.
The training is conducted entirely online. Participants must have a stable internet connection, a computer/laptop with a camera, and a private workspace. Phones, iPads, or tablets are not sufficient for full participation.
AI notetakers are not allowed nor is recording in any other way.
Training is delivered via Zoom for Healthcare. Participants should ensure their internet meets Zoom’s system requirements: Zoom System Requirements.

Please refer to the BBP Code of Conduct and Terms of Participation for further details.
